For YOU...

We sailed the rough seas in life, Chasing a dream
which seemed within reach, time was cruel n
threw us off board
Swept away by its strong currents.
With shattered dreams,
we drifted apart.
Your friendship eased my pain, Those times we had n
Laughs we shared;
still stays afresh
Like it was yesterday where
It started with a ‘hello there'

But it seems I remind you
of those hard times,
you so long to leave behind.
All my efforts to comfort you Seems to hurt you more
so I leave you here
with a heavy heart, hoping
new friends and time
can bring back those smile;
I still cherish
to remember you by.

Like few THREADS

Lighted tree pathway, green, forest

Now when I think about how I was when I reached twenty, all my life behind was only a vague picture to me then. It was like numerous threads stretched parallel not touching each other leaving gaps which I couldn't connect. I kept on trying, looking back again and again but nothing was clear to me. There were times when I could spot the threads that carried the precious moments of happiness and the ones which carried the saddest moments but when I try to think about them my face got sad and it felt like they were just threads laid apart so apart from my life. I was hopeless and totally lost, didn't know where to go next, stood there wondering what have I done all these years.

It was in that lost that she came into my life, cross threading my threads with hers and wowed a beautiful blanket inside me. Now I can see my life clearly without any space in between like a ray of light from the source filling my eyes. The space of loneliness and self doubt passed and I started cherishing my life the way I should have.

A Million TIMES

separation, boy and girl on swings, love lost

I'd talked to you a million times,

and I knew you inside out.

Yet when I came near you,

Words betrayed me,

My heart missed a beat and time slowed down;

Never in those million times had this happened,

thought my search was over.

Late I was as always,

but my heart was content; for I found my voice amidst

those mumbled words.

‘Special you are’ the one I talked to

a million time.

And still she asks, ‘What have I done to be so special?’

You won' know because

it was just me who’d

talked to u a million times.

black and white picture of a swing, poem by Rahul

An old man on a swing
Swinging back and forth.

Clenching his hands tight
On the rusty side chains.

Legs stretched and bend
To the rhythm of swing.

His cotton white beard as-
An aimless lite drift cloud,

Shining in the morning sun
Showing the sign of age.

Joy fills the fogy face like-
That in an innocent child’s.

The swing of life continues
Swinging back and forth.

Flawless as day and night
Swinging back and forth.

For a beautiful lives end
Swinging back and forth.
